After more than 20 years in the business, H2O has established itself as the worldwide leader in affordable POU/POE water filtration systems using GAC and KDF media. Consumers are more knowledgeable than ever regarding the contaminants and impurities that are commonly found in their drinking water. The demand for water filtration products is at an all-time high. Hundreds of distributors and dealers have entered the market with H2O products to meet that demand. Their success has led to H2O’s success. Entering the second half of the decade, H2O is looking to establish a new wave of distributor partnerships around the world with new products and technologies. The new website is a big part of the plan to make it happen.
New Look, Same URL
When H2O International was created in the early 90’s, most companies didn’t have a website. The search for reliable goods and services was a slow process involving word-of-mouth and the phone book. H2O Founder Guillermo Guzman focused his efforts on using quality materials to create a small line of first-class filtration products; “We were determined to use the right media in the right proportions. We now have an extensive line of products for a worldwide market, but we still sell many of the systems that we created in those early years.”
Company websites have drastically changed over the last 20 years. When it became clear that the internet would become the future vehicle to find distributors and be found by them, H2O launched its initial site in 1996, which indicated that it was “best viewed with Microsoft Explorer 3 or Netscape Navigator 3.0.” Although the site underwent several changes over the years, many things remained the same. Even the company’s address and phone number are still the same, not to mention the H2O commitment to quality products and service. With new partnerships, new products to sell and new markets to reach, H2O is embarking on a new era of possibilities. The newly designed website was the logical step towards the future. “The evolution of the website is indicative of our evolution as a manufacturer. We’ve certainly come a long way,” Guzman added.
Outside the Home, At the Faucet, On the Table
H2O’s portfolio of products includes whole house units which filter common contaminants in the water source before it enters a home or business. These point of entry systems vary in capacity from 150,000 to 750,000 gallons. H2O also carries a variety of systems for inside the home, filtering water at the faucet, under the sink and in the shower. These point-of-use systems also vary in size, design and capacity for different needs and markets.
After specializing for years on systems that filter water at the sink, H2O is delving into new technologies and partnerships to create cartridges, pitchers, bottles, dispensers and even coffeemakers. As a primary partner of HaloSource, H2O is exploring opportunities with OEMs to create new products with HaloSource technologies. Emerging markets in Asia, Europe and Latin America present a harvest of potential for H2O products and partnerships. As always, the growth and success of the company will depend on the success of new and existing distributors.
